Paint-Type Damping Material Mixed with Base Agent and Hardener
NonBuren Coat is a paint-type damping material made by mixing a base agent and a hardener.
It can be applied like a coating to cover the source of noise or vibration.
※Made to order.
Features of NonBuren Coat – Vibration-Damping and Soundproof Paint
"NonBuren Coat" is a coating-type anti-vibration and damping material that is used by mixing a base agent and a hardener.
Once applied, the coating layer helps reduce vibration and noise. For example, it can minimize the "buzzing" sound that occurs when tapping on thin metal sheets.
By coating the source of sound or vibration, it also provides a sound-shielding effect, helping to contain noise within.
Since it contains no solvents and has no odor, it can be used safely.
It can also be applied by spray.
General Performance
Partial shipments in smaller containers are available. Please constact us when placing your order.
Applications
- For use on ship propellers. A patent has been published for its application to reduce noise generated by ship propellers.
- Applied to the inside of metal covers. Coating the inner surface of thin sheet metal covers helps reduce rattling and vibration noise.
- Applying it to corrugated metal roofs or tread plate stairs helps reduce rain noise and the sound of footsteps.
Application Conditions
Surface Temperature
Must be above 5℃. 10℃ or higher are recommended.
Humidity
85% or lower. Make sure the surface is not wet from condensation.
Pot Life
For 1kg(at 20℃) approx. 5 to 30 minutes.
※Pot life refers to the amount of time after mixing the two components during which the coating can be applied. We can make some adjustments upon request when you place your order.
Applicable Substrates
- Metals (SS, SUS, aluminum*)
- Plywood※,wood※,concrete※
- Gypsum board※,plastics (excluding PE, PP, etc)
※ Primer may be required depending on the surface.
Spray Coating
NonBuren Coat is typically applied with a brush, but it can also be thinned with a solvent for spray coating. However, a single spray coat may not achieve the required film thickness. Please apply multiple coats, allowing time between each layer.
